As I said yesterday, by exposing these hateful people, we make at least some impact. We can’t rid ourselves of the vile spew, but we can try to make a dent by getting their accounts deleted, or maybe even surprising them with a visit by the Secret Service.

UPDATE: I’ve just been told that the FBI and Secret Service have both been notified. Thank you.

FYI: In case you haven't been watching/listening/paying attention, this man in office is following the SAME policies as BUSHCO. As a matter of fact, he has signed MORE FOIA denials in his first year than Bush did in his LAST year. This man is no better, in fact he's worse because at least Bush was up front kind of. Don't Listen to what Obama says, watch what he does.

The "liberal media" canard did not start recently. It actually got started in the '70s, during a presidential campaign where reporters were polled as to their choice for president. The majority supported McGovern. And, the republican party has been riding that poor little poney ever since. I used to be sort of a republican, though I voted then for several democrats, but it was Richard Nixon who drove me hard to the left. Not quite fully convinced, it took the Reagan years to finish the job. That's when the moderates in the GOP began to be driven out of the party, and party purity has come to the point now where even Ronald Reagan would likely be unwelcome there. THAT is how "conservative" they've become. The media is not, and never has been, overwhelmningly liberal. I spend 25 in radio and knew/worked with all political stripes liberal to conservative and to both factions that make up liberarians, and virtually one hundred percent of the ownership were card-carrying republicans. The one exception was Lady Bird Johnson... a democrat to her last breath, but a LOT more conservative than her enemies would have you believe. And, if you can believe it, that gracious lady did have some enemies... hard to avoid because of her husband whom she supported and defended long, long past his dying day.

Since his campaign the President has been threatened with death. I remember Sarah Palin ginning up the crowds for McCain. She called Obama every name in the book. From terrorist to a non citizen and McCain standing by and letting her vent her hatred and spleen. And since then the right wing and the GOP have done all they can to engender hate and disrespect. And they have done a good job. We have people carrying guns within the Presidents range. We have idiot tea baggers carrying on with insults no other country would tolerate.

And one day if something happens to the President they will all say, "it's not my fault." You just know they will. When you encourage an atmosphere of hate and lies, then the responsibility belongs to he haters and the talkers. And nothing can erase an action done by the loonies fed by the loonies.

If anything happens to this President, we know where the fault lies. With Fox network. And all the commentators. And those not on Fox that continue to grind out poison. We all know who they are and what they are. They appeal to the dumbest and the lowest aspect in all of us. These are the people they use and the people they feel contempt for at the same time.

One day these people will have to answer for something. And I don't mean by a so called higher power. It will roll back on them and there is a price to pay for non stop hate. These people are scum of the earth.

Any attorneys out there? I was wondering if any of these insane teabaggers committ an act of violence ( I pray they don't)----can Glenn Beck, Hannity, Michelle Malkin-(or whatever) and the rest of the fox group,and rush Limbaugh--be held accountable for it? They are the one's-and others as well--who indirectly and sometimes directly encourage this stuff. They also are the ones who twist everything the administration does-and especially the President--and just flat out lie about it-knowing these stupid people will believe anything they say!! Can they be held accountable ??

I absolutely agree with you. If by chance one of the barbaric teabaggers would take their cue from anyone in the republican party or faux fantasy channel the reaction would be "we never suggested they do anything like this. We are just shocked and horrified!" They, like the rest of the republican criminals would never be brought to justice for inciting and condoning their actions by their rhetoric.

Out here in Arizona out illustrous Sheriff Arpaio has been photographed several times hanging out with members of Storm Front, white supremacists, as well as neo-nazis, all of whom have been photographed participating in Teabagger deomonstrations. Well said. The media air television shows whose writers present some socially 'liberal' (ie not racist troglodyte) themes (tolerance, the occasional sexual situation, etc), and the low-info/IQ Fox News watching morons (sorry, but they really are stupid people on the whole) think that means they are liberal with a capital 'L'. So stupid. So poorly informed. As a group, they display all the analytical skills of a tree stump.

As you say though, the media conglomerates all represent the interests of their class in terms of news coverage/editorial slant - and that's what actually steers public opinion. It's disgraceful.

Thanks go to that huge 'liberal' Bill Clinton for the largest media deregulation in history (sad but true).

Until we reregulate and limit ownership percentages/cross market ownership (the same outfit owning all [or most] of the television/newspapers/radio stations/etc in one market), absolutely nothing will truly change.

I've seen some hateful stuff out there but this is past scary. It's terrifying. There are way to many people who would love to have permission to take the pres out. This creep just gave it to them. The Republicans will no more come out with a sincere condemnation of this kind of behavior than they would condemn a waiter for bringing them food. They paid for it, they benefit from it, they expect it--and they get it. They are constructing the mind-frame that leads to assassinations. Once they get what they want they will play "Mission Impossible," deny any knowledge of their friends' actions, and throw up their hands in horror, saying we strongly condemn such heinous acts, blah blah blah. But when the cameras are turned off, they will be patting each other on the back in Roger Ailes' executive suite, planning their next phase.

Between this abomination and the treatment of John Lewis, James Clyburn, Emanuel Cleaver, and Barney Frank by Teabaggers Saturday, I'm sick to my stomach. I think we need to hold Republicans accountable for this until they strongly disavow and strongly condemn this unacceptable behaviour.

I have been worried for our leaders in both houses of congress. I just can't get over the fact the our President won the election fair and square and now is being held to a different standard than any other president in history. If someone kills him than Fox News should be held accountable and that Murdock should be kicked out of the country and Hannity, Beck and O'Reilly should be held accountable. Enough is enough. What is going on here isn't democracy. It is nothing but a bunch of racists and any normal minded person who belongs to the republican party should stand up to these bullies. I would be ashamed to be a republican.
